Celebrating International Women’s Day!
It’s International Women’s Day and I’m honoured to have worked with so many amazing and inspiring women. In the past year I’ve photographed business owners, creators, entrepreneurs, mums, Dr’s, dentists, fashion designers, coaches, start-ups, makers, fitness instructors, dieticians, farmers, yoga teachers, sisters, goat rearers, marketeers, PR specialists, daughters, stylists, grandmas, pharmacists, carers, HR advisors, lawyers, campaigners, authors and not forgetting the chicken owners.
I grew up in the 1980’s and I’m glad to say that things have changed quite a lot for women since then. Not enough, of course, but there’s a steady trajectory in the right direction.
I’m always so overwhelmed, inspired and motivated on business and personal branding shoots when I meet so many strong and capable women. A force of business owners with vision and ambition. Unapologetically bossing it.
I love meeting the feisty and fearless young girls, on family shoots. They are growing up in this new millennium, supported by their mothers (and fathers!).
I hope I can help to smash the patriarchy (maybe just chip a bit off?), one image at a time, as I help to build businesses and self-esteem for girls and women.
