After the success of my mini beach shoots 2019, they are back in 2020 but with a few tweaks! The perfect gift for Mother's Day!
I very quickly realised that I can't do a shoot at the beach in 30 mins, so I've extended the time to an hour. I also discovered that to get the best combination of tide, weather and sunset times I can only do one shoot per day. This is all good news for my clients as sessions are now longer and more flexible. Hooray!
So, what's included in the Mini Beach Shoot package? Well, you have an hour long photo shoot at the beach, plus 5 prints and matching digital images for only £199! If you fall in love with the rest of the images (I will warn you that EVERYONE that had a shoot last year bought extra images, with most clients upgrading to the full digital package), there are upgrade packages available.
I'm only offering 10 slots (I ended up doing many more last year), as I need to make sure I've got time and weekend availability for all my family shoots too.

See below for a small snippet of my beach fun from 2019. There's a real mixture of shoots, from a baking hot day to a crisp windy day. Winter beach family shoot
I love taking photos at the beach all year round. This winter beach family shoot, just after the snow fall in February, is gorgeous.
The shoot was booked as a surprise for Dad's birthday. The idea was to get some lovely pictures of the three children (plus puppy) together, to be printed on a canvas. I say 'children', even though the two eldest are officially adults because you're never too old to take part in a family shoot. Just because you're in your twenties, doesn't mean that your parents don't want to look at photos of you.
The shoot took place at my favourite local beach, Southerndown (Dunraven Bay). If you look closely in the background you can see a bit of snow left on the hillside. It was absolutely freezing but we managed a walk around the gardens and made it to the beach in time for the sunset.
It was super slippery and myself and youngest both fell over and had a nice coating of mud. I managed to hit both cameras on the floor as well as getting covered in mud in the car park before we'd even started! Not the first time I've fallen over on a shoot and I'm sure it won't be the last either!
But, it's all worth it to get a beautiful set of images.

Summer Family Beach Shoot, South Wales.
I love it when a family return regularly for photos. I've photographed and watched this lovely family grow over the years and it's a real honour to be able to document these moments for them. Now that their little one is on her feet and raring to go, there's no stopping her! The shoot took place at one of my favourite locations, Dunraven Gardens and Southerndown Beach. It's such a great location because you get two different backgrounds in one place. Beautiful gardens and a stunner of a beach.
One evening at the start of the Summer we met there and had good old wander up the hill, into the gardens, through the woods and back down the hill to the beach. Some of my favourite images from this session are the hand holding, laughing, nose poking ones. I love capturing families - the dynamic within each one is so unique and so special. You can see the love shining out of these pictures.

Colwinston Baby & Toddler Group
Another lovely visit to Colwinston Baby & Toddler Group for some Spring portraits. We were lucky to have an abundance of forget-me-nots to play in, which look amazing! There were some gorgeous smiles. Plus, for the first time I had cousins getting together - in a suitcase, as you do.
Thanks for having me everyone. I'll be back in the Autumn time for some cosy, snuggly, leafy portraits!

Spring Family Photo Session
A gorgeous Spring family photo session with a fabulous family in a stunning location makes one happy photographer!
When I met Mum to have a chat about the session, she told me how important this photo session was to her. She said it felt like we were capturing 'the finale of the kids childhood'. Well, it took a lot for me not to sob all over my coffee when she said that. My kids are a similar age and we both have our eldest going off to secondary school in September, so I knew exactly how she felt.
I wanted to capture the love in their family, the strong bond between brother and sister and the innocence of childhood. So, we played on a tractor, collected pine cones, sat amongst beautiful flowers and had a quiet moment reading stories together. A perfect Spring family photo session. I love these images.
