Christmas Mini Photo Session
Another year of gorgeous images in time for Christmas at my Christmas Mini Photo Session a few weeks ago. Here's just a few of the images captured on the day. The outdoor setting is just wonderful, a real log cabin dressed with real Christmas trees with an old wooden sledge and a lovely door wreath. Not to mention the copious amounts of (not real) snow! The snow we use is paper based and from a television production company that provides snow for TV and films. I think it looks amazing and the kids always have so much fun playing with it during the session - especially when it starts to 'snow'! And, it's not cold, so that's a bonus.
I love these magical sessions, they signal the start of Christmas for me and make me want to rush home and start putting up the decorations - I've managed to resist so far, but this weekend I'm going to set to work! I especially love photographing siblings in this setting - there's really nothing cuter than seeing them enjoying the snow together and snuggling up in their Christmas jumpers.
Massive thanks to my helpers Tracey and Craig, without whom I would have been at a loss! They were the ones making it snow and keeping out the pesky sun and/or rain. We really did have every weather on the day!
I know it's a bit early to say it, but I can't help myself. Merry Christmas everyone! Gem xx
Christmas Snow Sessions
What fun we had!! I loved shooting these magical snow sessions for Christmas this year. Here's just a few of the gorgeous images that were captured on the day. Thanks to all my lovely helpers. It takes a lot of people to work on a session like this, so I was very grateful for the extra pairs of hands (and glad they would take part payment in chocolate!).
There's loads of love, hugs and magic in these pictures and I'm glad I brought a tear or two to my clients eyes when they saw their slideshows. Next year, we'll do even more and make sure no one misses out. I might even remember to buy my own children a Christmas jumper in time (epic fail Mum!).
