Sunset surfer beach shoot

My little girl is off to secondary school soon. It feels like such an enormous change and she's growing up way too fast. I wanted to capture her spirit now, before she changes into a full blown teenager and what better way than to spend an evening at the beach with her best friends? They've all known each other since they were born and have so many precious memories together. They hand picked their outfits, chose their accessories and got ready together (whilst eating pizza). Then, we headed to Southerndown beach (our favourite) for the shoot. We had lots of fun and I absolutely loved seeing the girls together enjoying themselves. You're never to old to enjoy splashing each other in the sea, right?

The beach is my happy place and I loved getting in the sea with my camera (a first!) to take the surf shots. If you are a beach loving family and would like to capture your favourite place with your favourite people then please get in touch to find out about my location photo sessions. Gem x

Tween photo shoot

I love this tween shoot with my gorgeous niece. There were three parts to the session. Indoor shots to show off her beauty, outside in the howling wind and then she got all sporty on me and we did some running pictures. I think she looks fabulous and we had lots of fun trying out lots of different poses. Big thanks to my fab assistant Georgie Rose, who knows how to waft hair around with a hairdryer (or does she??). I hope I've managed to capture the essence of Chloe Dollface and that she can look back at this shoot in years to come and remember her fun weekend in Wales. Gem x
